Restashification : One Love

I might not have been sewing much for the past six months or more but I've certainly been doing "sewing adjacent" activities.

Yes, when I'm not sewing, I buy fabric and notions.

I discovered this little store by pure happenstance. I was looking for some piqué print and I asked my Sewing Coworker* about it. She told me about a store whose name she didn't know, whose address was pretty vague and whose schedule was utterly unknown.

Friends, it was SO worth it. I'm in love. It's called One Love, kismet!

So here are my purchases, so far:

One fabric is actually missing because, while I notes it into my Sewing Notebook, I can't seem to find it anywhere. I'll update the post when I do.

All are cotton fabrics, except for the last one which is a stretch cotton. Of course, not a single unit in sight, as usual. No notions but I'm made my peace with this reality.

I do know that the owner goes to the United States several times a year. The aune of fabric costs around $8-10USD/6-8euros.

He even has my gorgeons Jomar, Philadelphia find:

And last Saturday, on my way to English class, I stopped to at a rickety little stall in front of someone's gate, to buy these two polyester knits :

Yes, my well-trained eagle eye has spied jersey fabric while driving by on one of the main streets of the city. It's just so rare to find knits. The skinny, toothless little old lady who sold me these approx. 6 yards for about  $30 US/23euros spoke of a woman bringing them in from Canada.

The darker fabric does have a flaw in the print but I'm sure I can work around it.

If you recognize any of these fabrics, please let me know!

I would say that the only thing that keeps me from murdering my monthly budget is the fact that I have to take a small but critical detour to reach thee store.  Otherwise, MURDER!

I too am really really good at buying sewing related stuff when actually I should be sewing more of what I already have. 'Tis fun though, do you know!

I love the cottons you found - lovely to discover a new store as well, though dangerous for the budget.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! The sewing site link you left was really interesting. I used to sew pretty well, but I haven't sewn anything for a long time! The shoes are Guess. I got them a few years ago from DSW, but I think they have similar pairs now.

Inspiring collection of fabrics! There's a dearth of jerseys here too, I need that little old lady to set up her stall in our village.

How come there aren't any old ladies setting up stalls in London? Your fabrics are lovely.

Love all these cotton prints! What a score. They would make such fun cool summer dresses!

Oh! I'm so jealous of your first three fabrics especially! They're so chic.
