I'm shocked to realize that I haven't posted anything since January, ugh!!!

Yes, I admit I dropped out of both The Cupcake Goddess' Trouser Sew Along AND the Great Vintage Sew Along which I had signed up for.

Still, I was productive. I've been sewing stuff, I swear.

First, I made myself a robe with an OOP McCall's 3893 I got from a friend of my mother's:

The fabric is some sort of midweight cambric with a white and a light blue thread. Wrinkles like crazy but such a joy to press and to wear.
The little extra : my monogram embroidered by my mother who is, I quote, coming back to embroidery and sewing. No comment. Look how cute it came out:

The review and the album.

Of course, I bought to much fabric in my paranoïa so I made a skirt inspired by a Boden skirt (sorry, forgot to save the photo). It's the popular Burda 02-2010-104:

My pockets are half fashion fabric, half cotton lining, copied from some RTW pants :

The little extra, here again, is the little bird my mother stitched (had to take advantage of that early enthousiasm, right?). She says it's a stylized peacock, I see a turkey, LOL!

I didn't think to take a photo but it was hands down the best insivible zipper of my sewing career!!!
The review and the album
A bit short, right? Well, I also managed to create four (4) UFOs: 2 dresses, 1 blouse et 1 skirt. To say nothing of the more or less successfull knit tops I attempted. Photos to come.

P.S. Sorry for the oddly small photos.

The embroidery by your mother is such a beautiful touch. Great skirt, you have made me go back and peruse that pattern, I'd forgotten it.
